We honour all things Spanish
There is nothing quite like the energy, vibrancy and passion of beautiful Spanish music and dance. Over the next few weeks, there are some fabulous opportunities to enjoy magnificent Spanish culture: next Thursday (5 Sept) on the programme of the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra’s third concert in the Early Spring season in Rimsky-Korsakov’s celebration of Spanish folk melodies, Capriccio Espagnol; the Hilton Arts Festival will host the glorious Spanish Fire on 14 and 15 September featuring the Montoya Spanish Dance Theatre in an exciting combination of virtuoso guitar work and traditional flamenco rhythms; and the much-anticipated Shall We Dance at the Playhouse from 6 until 15 September will, as always, feature a myriad dance forms including Flamenco and Spanish cross-over.
Pictured here in readiness for the different Spanish cultural showcases are: Christie Norton (Minette de Klerk Dance Academy); Kirsten Sayers (KZN Philharmonic Orchestra) and Ella Moretti (Minette de Klerk Dance Academy).
