#HopeInSight
Thursday 8 October 2020
Today is World Sight Day – the most important advocacy and communications day in the eye health calendar to encourage people to be aware of eye care. Understanding that 75% of the world’s vision impairment is avoidable, the focus globally is to encourage people to take an eye test.
St John, where Street Lit is based, has two Eye Care Clinics in KZN: a newly opened shop in Pietermaritzburg’s Selgro Centre, 361 Church Street; and in Durban’s 129 KE Masinga Road / Old Fort Road providing professional eye testing and the dispensing of budget spectacles.
Phindile Dladla: Eye wear consultant at St Johns, helps choose spectacles for Denis Hurley Centre Street Lit book vendor Eric Makalo.
