Wrapping up the fourth annual Durban Comedy Festival, On Fire Comedy presents Whose Line? At the Gateway Hotel on Saturday 22 December.
Durban biggest comedy fest is back, with the side-splitting comedy feast is similar to the popular US TV show, Whose Line is it Anyway? and features SA comedy legend, John Vlismas with Jem Atkins, Rob van Vuuren and Masood Boomgaard. The place, to deliver 90 minutes of completely made-up off-the-cuff hilarity.
Comedy legend, John Vlismas, hosts this hilarious improv comedy show where four top comedians make everything up on stage based on audience interaction and suggestions! With so much material on offer in day-to-day living, the show should be topical looking at the funny side of living in the rainbow nation.
Outspoken and sometimes controversial, Vlismas is a firm favourite on the SA comedy scene and a household name to boot! Atkins has been hosting and headlining shows all over Durban for several years now, the local act is instantly likeable and very entertaining. van Vuuren cut his teeth in the mid to late 90’s (after graduating from Rhodes University) as an actor specialising in physical theatre with a natural talent for physical comedy. To this day, Rob’s stand-up is characterised by absurd, surreal, and disturbingly hilarious physical interpretations of situations and characters. With his unique, clean brand of Durban-centric humor that appeals to a wide range of audiences, Boomgaard has toured extensively both nationally and internationally. As one of the most popular acts in Durban, his acclaimed one-man comedy shows have been a huge hit over the years.
Durban’s annual Comedy Festival’s Whose Line? will get you set for the fun-filled end-of-year season with 90 minutes of non-stop laughter taking place on Saturday 22 December at Gateway Hotel in uMhlanga.
