Stepping Stone Studios: scheduled to open from Saturday 19 December 2020 – now postponed
It is with deep regret and after much deliberation that artist Lauriana Glenny and the management of Stepping Stone Studios have decided to postpone the exhibition due to open this weekend: Finding Beauty, Inspiring Hope: A collection of oils on canvas and charcoal drawings.
“We have given the decision much thought and in good faith realise that it is not appropriate to open a new exhibition at this time. Exhibition openings, by definition, involve people in a room together, chatting and drinking. We don’t want to put any of our customers, friends and supporters at risk and, although we can ensure all protocols are in place, with the current wave the safest and most appropriate thing to do is to postpone until the peak in new infections has passed,” says Lauriana Glenny.
“As soon as it feels appropriate and safer to open the exhibition, we will reschedule.”
“We apologise for any inconvenience and look forward to sharing our art with you in our beautiful gallery, as soon as we are able to do so.”
• Finding Beauty, Inspiring Hope: A collection of oils on canvas and luxurious charcoal drawings by artist Lauriana Glenny celebrating the idea of finding beauty in the unexpected, the overlooked, the everyday, the mundane and the forgotten, was due to open at Stepping Stone Studios in Assagay on Saturday 19 December 2020.
