Avoid city driving, catch a bus to the KZN Philharmonic Summer Season concerts.
The KZN Philharmonic Orchestra wants to make their audiences’ experience as comfortable as possible. Many audience members would prefer not to self-drive to the Playhouse to attend the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra’s concerts – so the Orchestra has introduced a FREE bus service allowing people to park in the suburbs and hop on a bespoke bus into town to watch the concert.
Various routes are on offer: for North of Durban residents – from Grace Family Church in Umhlanga Rocks Drive departing at 18h15; for Upper Highway residents – a bus departs from St Agnes Church at 17h50; Westville residents can park at Westville Senior Primary, with a bus departing at 18h15. A bus stops at the Caister Lodge in Durban’s Berea for Durbanites, departing 18h20.
Secure, free parking is available at all departure points. The bus is free, but you must pre-book your seat.
The Orchestra will be shortly starting rehearsals for their 2024 Summer Season, featuring a splendid line-up of international and local talent which runs in The Playhouse Opera Theatre every Thursday from 29 February to 21 March, each World Symphony Series concert starting at 19h00.
Single ticket bookings for individual concerts, are available online via https://www.quicket.co.za/organisers/32978-kwazulu-natal-philharmonic-orchestra/
KZN Philharmonic Season tickets are available through KZN Philharmonic Orchestra’s offices by calling 031-369 9438 or emailing info@kznphil.org.za or visit www.kznphil.org.za for more info.
