Practising the art of Sabrage – opening a bottle of champagne with a sword, professional clown – Hilton resident – Gavin Stockden gets in some much needed practice ahead of this Friday’s Beaujolais Nouveau at the Alliance Française de Durban. Stockden will be performing some of his magic and mayhem during the festivities where visitors will be enjoying the first of this year’s Beaujolais wines. This annual celebration starts at 6pm with loads of entertainment taking place. Tickets cost R80 or R60 if you are an Alliance Française de Durban member.
