Pieter Dirk Uys and Evita Bezuidenhout together in
#HeTwo: Evita Exposed
Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre, Dbn: 19 – 24 Nov
Enjoying a quiet moment after setting up for his show, entertainer Pieter Dirk Uys opted to spend some quality time with some lucky kitties: Cal the Ginger won the heart of the well-known South African entertainer and author, who is in Durban for his annual visit to the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre on the UKZN Campus with his new show #HeTwo: Evita Exposed in which he shares the stage with Evita Bezuidenhout. “I now have a reputation of molesting other people’s cats, and so I always try and find a homeless moggie to hug at the local cat shelter.” His motto for a good life is simple: stroking a kitty a day can keep all negative thoughts at bay. Uys got his feline fix by playing with rescue cats through the Cats of Durban network of volunteers who encourage businesses to adopt their stray and feral colonies and help with sterilization, advice and care of stray and feral cats.
#HeTwo: Evita Exposed opens tonight (Tuesday) and runs until Sunday: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7.30pm; and Saturday and Sunday at 3pm. Book at Computicket
