Thandeka Msweli and Bella Webber mark Spring Day in Durban’s beautiful Botanic Gardens. Bella, a learner at Danville Girls High, will be appearing in Footloose: the high-energy 17th annual Young Performers Production about a kid struggling to fit in and needing to change things in a small conservative town, which will take place at the UKZN Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre from 8 – 17 September. Thandeka is part of the Conference Company team, planning the Mini World Youth Day, a highlight in the calendar of young Catholics across Southern Africa, taking place in December in Durban. South Africa celebrates Spring Day on Friday, 1 September, which also marks the beginning of Heritage Month. Spring Day symbolically marks the end of the cold winter days and the beginning of warmer summer days ahead.
