The KZN Philharmonic Orchestra will perform Tchaikovsky’s: Romeo and Juliet Overture as part of their “love” themed concert on Thursday evening (20 Feb) in the Durban City Hall under the baton of American conductor William Eddins; and the students from DUT are staging Romeo and Juliet / Lomeyo no Jula at the DUT Courtyard Theatre from 28 February until 6 March, directed by Siza Mthembu to be performed in isiZulu with a cast of 50.
At the Playhouse currently, Think Theatre is presenting their annual Shakespeare programme featuring two of the Bard’s best-known tragedies, Othello and Hamlet – intended to inspire high school learners studying the texts.
