For lovers of Mozart, a veritable confectionary of delights is on offer with an all-Mozart programme opening the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2019 Spring Season taking place in the Durban City Hall this Thursday 31 October starting at 7.30pm, under the baton of celebrated German maestro Wolfram Christ. On the menu is Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, his Violin Concerto No 5 performed by Avigail Bushakevitz, and his Symphony No 39. A second opportunity can be found in Pietermaritzburg’s Tatham Art Gallery on Sunday 3 November at 11.30am: Music Revival presents music for four hands at one piano with Mark Nixon and Christopher Duigan – including Mozart’s Sonata in C major.
