We regret that due to circumstances beyond our control, the venue for the Francofête Human Rights Day Festival (6th Edition) has had to be changed from Sutton Park to Alliance Française de Durban, 22 Sutton Crescent, (opposite Sutton Park) in Morningside.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, however, we look forward welcoming the public to our premises and to participate in the activities planned for the day.
Matinee: Family Affair (11H00 to 13H00)
Afternoon: Music Concert (13H30 to 16H)
During the day, from 11am onwards, there will be family activities at the Alliance Française of Durban. There will be a full programme on the Assitej youth stage – cartoon characters, gumboot dance, poetry, story-telling and music.
In the Alliance there will be a series of activities facilitated by our MC, Ian Ewok Robinson.
To ensure that festival goers won’t go hungry, the Fusion French Café will be selling French delicacies and local cuisine.
The afternoon will start with a free music concert from 13.30pm. The afternoon concert will feature iconic Malian band, BKO Quintet. Also on the bill is SA ROY / Forest Jam – a seven piece innovative Swiss / Malagasy music collaboration.
Bring your friends, your family, enjoy the music, taste some authentic cuisine and take time to relax.
