Getting ready to playing some great “tracks” at this weekend’s Zakifo Festival are DJs Baraka (with braids) and Saint.
The fourth annual Zakifo Music Festival comes to Durban this weekend: 25, 26 and 27 May, and promises a wide-ranging line-up of boundary-breaking, hyper-curated, cutting-edge musicians from across the African continent and beyond, playing at three vastly different Durban venues, each offering a unique experience: the BAT Centre, Views @ Twenty5, and Blue Lagoon Beach
DJ Baraka offers a set to emotionally touch your soul – performing Kwaito and House overlapped with indigenous sounds and neo-soul straddling the old and the new. Saint will spin a classic House music set playing some of the tracks which made her fall in love with the House genre.
