One lucky couple can win a grand prize of a bespoke Durban wedding valued at more than R160 000 at the picturesque Macnut Farm Wedding and Function Venue in 1000 Hills, with all the trimmings and support, at the fifth annual East Meets West Bridal Fair coming to the Pavilion Centre on Friday 25, Sat 26 and Sun 27 October.
Among the participants who have contributed towards the prize are: a wedding ring from Premjees Jewellers; a photography package from Jon Ivins photography & video design; a midweek two night getaway to Cathedral Peak from One Stop Tours; hair products from Perfect 10; make up from Kryolan; wedding dress hire from Wedding Whispers; a wedding crown and mugs from Queen of Crowns; a 100 page hard cover photobook from Burble and an Antinuptual contract from KL Attorneys.
The wedding will take place at the beautiful Macnut Farm Wedding and Function Venue in 1000 Hills – the perfect wedding and special occasion venue. The owners Hannah and Paul Paine have hosted many beautiful and memorable weddings and functions, as well as intimate private functions, corporate functions and events, special birthday parties, workshops and team-building. Macnut Farm is situated in the heart of the Assagay Valley just minutes from Hillcrest. Parking is ample, safe and easily accessible.
To enter, shoppers simply need to complete the online entry form, on www.thepav.co.za. Plus, they can visit the bridal fair exhibitors and scan the QR Code at each exhibition stand to enter.
Another notable highlight is the presence of the amazing Cirk at the Fair. They will be doing shows and workshops throughout the weekend. Based in Johannesburg, and making a rare trip to Durban, the Cirk are a team of skilled performing artists with extensive repertoire of specialty aerial and ground acts.
The Fair – which is held throughout the centre – boasts a myriad wedding themed events, activations, exhibitions and displays designed to help couples and their families plan for their big day.
Understanding the multi-cultural complexity of Durban, wedding support appropriate to different faith and cultural traditions; classic and contemporary styles; various budgets; partner choices and aesthetics will be on offer. Over 30 exhibitors are spread in pods throughout the Pavilion – showcasing everything from décor ideas to wedding cakes; champagne to suits; florists to henna; make-up to videography; bridal dresses to event planners; honeymoon destinations to wedding rings.
There are a multitude of event highlights this year: there will be carefully curated fashion shows, produced by Roberta Alessandri Events and Models, taking place in the downstairs Fountain Court on Saturday and Sunday showcasing a range of designers; fashion houses; make-up artists; hairdressers; accessory-providers and support staff who specialise in weddings.
“Through activations like these, we get to offer easy solutions to our shoppers. Their visit to The Pavilion is made up of special heartfelt moments and we get to amplify these through events like the bridal fair”, says The Pavilion’s Marketing Manager, Julie-Anne Zuma.
