When I Grow Up I Want To Be…
The lead actor in OZMA’s silent movie – The Lost World. OZMA is a French Jazz band that will be ending their World Tour performing at ISEA2018, at the KZNSA Gallery on Tuesday 26 June. The band comprises of Stephane Scharle on Drums and Composition; Edouard Sero-Guillaume on Bass and Composition; Julien Soro on Saxophone; Guillaume Nuss on Trombone and Tam of Villiers on Guitar.
The band that has a foot in the jazz world, another in trance and electro music and both hands in the world of rock. OZMA is a over-powered quintet, led by an unwanted low-battery. Their music is both adventurous and accessible. With 6 albums out, multiple creations and more than 300 concerts performed on four continents, Tuesday evening will be a blast.
OZMA will be performing their Cinema – Concert “The Lost World” from 8pm in Bulwer Park for free, alongside the gallery. The Lost World has the quintet playing their quirky set while a silent 1920s Dinosaur Movie showing in the background.
Start your Tuesday evening off watching the phenomenal performance E-Skin by Jill Scott at the Durban Natural Science Museum Research Centre, then move across to the KZNSA for the Life Hacking Gallery Take Over exhibition including African Robots, Gambiologia and the Free Sunshine Exhibition at the gallery. Bring along a picnic blanket and pull up a patch of grass and end your evening watching the once in a life time jazz experience in Glenwood.
