Welcome to a feast of film!! Dancer Thobi Maphanga from The Rickshaw Collective infront of Durban’s iconic City Hall, welcomes film lovers and BRICS delegates to the city. Durban is currently the best place on the planet for lovers of film with five major international film events taking place. On Monday, the BRICS Film Festival starts with free films every day at the Playhouse. Five of each country’s best films will be screened – three features and two competition entries: Monday is South Africa; Tuesday is Russia; Wednesday is Brazil, Thursday is China and Friday is India. Monday also sees an industry forum taking place as part of Durban FilmMart.
