Avoid the January back to school blues and start the new year with a real treat for family and friends – take a scenic trip from Kloof Railway Station on either the 29 or 30 January 2022 departing at 08h30 or 12h30.
It is also a great way to escape the Durban heat – by meandering through the 1000 Hills in a beautiful old train carriage, with open windows and a cool breeze!
👣 Our 1 hour, 25km trip meanders on the Old Main Line traversing through the Valley of 1000 Hills, through one of the oldest operating tunnels in South Africa in Drummond, to Inchanga.
Refreshments are for sale on the train (on a cash basis)
Inchanga boasts a variety of activities for the whole family. Your train ticket enables you free entry to our Railway Museum situated in the Old Station Master’s House, and entrance into the Modeller’s Shed on the platform where Thomas & Friends can be found. The Inchanga Station Craft Market operates when the train runs and there are plenty of crafts awaiting to be discovered as well as a variety of foods to suite most tastes.
