Tutu And Hurley Legacy Award

The Denis Hurley Centre Annual Hurley Weekend took place in person; with a selection of participative events to honour Archbishop Hurley over the weekend closes to his death (he died on 13 Feb 2004).
There was a special focus on Archbishop Tutu this year, with a panel discussion among young people looking at how to sustain the legacies of the two great leaders

Session chair: Sbongiseni Vilakazi S’bongiseni Vilakazi, the Executive Director of The Valley Trust.
Dr Kapil Narain – a member of the Hindu Maha Sabha, involved in the Active Citizens Movement and Amnesty International.
Pierre Buckley – a Lay Minister in the Anglican church and Diversity advocate.
Roanne Moodley – Rresearcher, lecturer and architect.
Grace Kisonga – a Catholic lay woman originally from DR Congo. She was recently Head Girl at Holy Family College.
