KZN Philharmonic’s 2019 Spring Season
Durban City Hall: Week three
Thursday 14 November at 7.30pm
Good afternoon
I have just heard from the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra’s Management that tonight’s Spring Season concert scheduled to take place in the Durban City Hall has been cancelled due to the anticipated storm.
The Weather Bureau has suggested that it is not safe to drive on the roads this evening.
The orchestra management is getting hold of the subscribers – but we would be very grateful if everyone can help to reach out on social media, WhatsApp etc to avoid people making the trip to town unnecessarily – we would be grateful for your assistance in letting people know that there is no concert this evening.
Management is trying to postpone it rather than cancel it, but at this point that is not looking possible as the conductor and soloist are scheduled to leave Durban tomorrow.
If an additional concert is re-scheduled to replace this one, we will let you know – but at this point it seems regrettably highly unlikely.
People who have pre-booked tickets can be refunded through Computicket
Any queries – contact the orchestra: 031 369 9438 or Computicket on 0861 915 8000.
The orchestra management sincerely regrets any inconvenience this decision may have caused, but the safety of their musicians and patrons is of the utmost importance.
Thank you for your understanding
With best wishes
