Harbour: Sunday 31 December
Bring in the New Year with a champagne toast, overlooking the yachts relaxing on the lawns of the Point Yacht Club on Sunday 31 December.
The club invites people who would like to have a relaxing start to 2018, to join them at a chilled bring and braai at the harbour site. To add to the festivities, the club has organised a disco to boogy the night away.
Enjoy an old shipping tradition in the harbour, where all the ships in port fire off a celebratory blast of their horns as the clock strikes midnight.
The NYE party opens up from 6pm, where fires will be lit shortly after that. Bring your own meat and salads. The entry fee for adults is R30 and for children it is R20 each, please pay cash at the door. All drinks can be purchased downstairs at Charlies Bar.
