Week Three – “Mostly Mozart”

GETTING TO KNOW YOU: Sodi Braide, noted young British born pianist of Nigerian parentage, is caught playing on the magnificent Steinway piano in Durban’s City Hall for the first time ahead of his performance with the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra on Thursday evening – the third concert in their Winter Season. Yasuo Shinozaki, the acclaimed Japanese maestro, returns to the podium to conduct. On the programme are two supreme masterpieces by Mozart, and Tchaikovsky’s Winter Daydreams symphony. Braide will perform Mozart’s A Major Piano Concerto K 488 which is considered a magnificent work of supreme accomplishment.
Tickets are through Computicket. The performance is at 7.30pm in the Durban City Hall.
