Christopher Duigan in concert
in Ballito and Kloof.
All Souls Anglican Church, Ballito: Sunday 4 Aug at 3pm
St Agnes Church, Kloof: Tues 6 Aug at 7pm
Touring again after some time out, is much loved Pietermaritzburg-based classical pianist, Christopher Duigan who will be coming to Ballito on Sunday 4 July at 3pm to perform a programme of mid-winter classics at the All Souls Anglican Church in Umhlali / Salt Rock; which will be repeated in St Agnes in Kloof on Tuesday 6 August at 7pm.
He will be playing a selection of music with a relaxed and enchanting lyricism – like an afternoon in the winter sunshine. With gentle undulation and extended, reassuring lines this programme is guaranteed to please and soothe! Beethoven’s Sonata Op. 26, a work of compelling Schubertian qualities, Chopin – Nocturne Op. 62 and Impromptu No. 1, and a selection from Schubert’s Impromptus Op. 90 make up the selection.
