Love is Green: seasons collide in Durban this weekend – with happy summer flowers appearing in Shrek the Musical on stage in Durban North, a new Spring overture being performed by the Durban City Orchestra in Kloof tomorrow, the Durban Botanic Gardens, Autumn Plant Fair taking place on the Berea today…. And the onset of winter weather!
This weekend you can catch the Durban City Orchestra in Concert in the NGK Krantzkloof, Kloof tomorrow, Sunday 4 May at 3pm playing a programme of Mozart, Coleridge-Taylor and Mussorgsky along with the debut of a new Spring Overture. The fabulous and funny Shrek the Musical by the Young Performers Project wraps up its season at the new Milkwood Theatre in Danville School, Durban North with performances today at 2pm and 7pm, and tomorrow at 2pm. (Bookings: Webtickets). And for lovers of the outdoors, Durban Botanic Gardens Autumn Plant Fair is on today, Saturday 3 May, from 9am until 2pm in the Visitors Complex. Entry is free and all are welcome.
