Living Their Dream…
Little ballerinas aged between nine and 11 years from Durban will be living their dream as they join members of the Royal Moscow Ballet on stage for two performances on Saturday. This will be the first time the young dancers, hand-picked from the Melissa Lister School of Ballet and Eden College School, will dance on the grand Playhouse Opera stage, and it is the first time they will be dancing with the visiting Russian dancers. They will be dancing the famous Chinese dance in The Nutcracker segment of the programme.
The Royal Moscow Ballet is performing in Durban as part of an extensive national tour. The programme pays tribute to great Russia composers Sergei Rachmaninov, Pyotr Tchaikovsky and Aleksander Borodin. There are two performances only on Saturday March 11 – at 2pm and 7pm.
