Durban best have come together to give their time and talents to support Life Line Durban as a way of giving back to their community. Still warming South Africa with the successful MAMA Afrika show, a tribute to Miriam Makeba that is heading to Cape Town soon, the well-loved Jazz Vocalist Thuli Zama, will be part of the 2018 Hope Concert. With a unique talent Thuli Zama has done performances for Bona Magazine, Weekend Live (SABC 2), SAB, Top Billing (SABC 3), Toured Hamburg, and Berlin in Germany to name a few.
The Durban audience shall enjoy the energetic acoustic sound of the Durban-raised, Stellenbosch-grown musician: Rorke Hunter Kemp cut his teeth on blues, but never misses a chance to entertain and perform his renditions of popular music as well as his own original catalogue. Back home from Cape Town and stages such as Rocking the Daisies and Woordfees, he is keen to rediscover KZN.
We are very excited to have on the Hope Concert Stage, the beautiful and talented the Singer/Songwriter and pianist Shomon Daniel. Dave Chislett of the Grahamstown National Arts Festival Review wrote ‘Shomon Daniel is in possession of a unique and powerful voice, that drives and express her thoughts to the world. She is a Singer/Songwriter who defies even the loose boundaries of that description’.
