Thousands of fantasy fans will go on a “Magical Journey” – the theme of the eighth Harry Potter Book Night this evening.
Durban’s very own Harry Potter (Denis Hurley Centre Street Lit homeless book vendor, Mxolisy Mavimbela) challenges a fire eating dragon to a reading duel in the Ammazulu Garden and Sculpture Precinct in Kloof, supported by 1000 Hills Community Tourism Organisation.
A seller of pre-read books and an avid reader himself, Mavimbela encourages Potter fans to join him in celebrating the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
The dragon is the latest addition to the Ammazulu Gardens and is the work of metal artist Patrick Chipangula.
The hashtags for the event used on social media are #HarryPotterBookNight and #HPBN
