Ninuca Tkeshelashvili is acknowledged as one of the most promising talents in her home country Georgia. She began her pianistic studies at the age of six; her orchestral debut was at the age of seven and she went on to win numerous prizes at international competitions in the years that followed. Since 2021, Tkeshelashvili has been continuing her education at the Münster University of Music. She has had recent solo recitals with symphonic orchestras in Georgia, Germany, Austria, Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan. Recent accolades include being placed in an array of international competitions: in Italy, Germany, Azerbaijan, Georgia; Turkey and Armenia.
In the home concert in Berea, she will perform two signature pieces by Franz Liszt: Apres une lecture du Dante: Fantasia Quasi Sonata and B Minor Sonata.
At the afternoon beachfront recital and at Hilton, she will perform the two Liszt pieces, and a programme of Robert Schumann (Schumann Sonata 2 and Reinecke der Nussbaum).
Franz Liszt was a Hungarian composer, virtuoso pianist, conductor and teacher of the Romantic period. With a diverse body of work spanning more than six decades, he is considered to be one of the most prolific and influential composers of his era, and his piano works continue to be widely performed and recorded. His 214th birthday is celebrated on 22 October.
This is her first trip to KZN. She is being brought to Hilton / Durban by music impresario, Sahil Singh.
She gave a concert in Hilton on Sunday 12 October at 2pm.
