This festive season, Durban will be a buzz with nautical themes. Pictured in front of the massive BuzzArt’17 Mural by Kev Seven outside the KZNSA Gallery are KickstArt performers Lyle Buxton and Mthokozisi Zulu. The duo will be surging onto the stage in the annual family pantomime, Sinbad the Sailor. ‘Popeye’ looks down on well-known lead Buxton, who plays the title role of Sinbad the sailor and Zulu who takes on the delightful role of the trusty pirate side-kick, Mustapha Kitkat.
Buzzart’17 opened on Thursday with a strong message relating to marine conservation, while KickstArt’s show whisks audiences away to the seven seas for a fun-filled way to start the festive season. The show opens on the 1 December and booking is through Computicket.
