The Denis Hurley Centre (DHC) is proud to be adding a mobile clinic to their roster of services, courtesy of the Japanese Embassy’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects programme, Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles Durban in Riverhorse Valley, and SA Van Conversions, based in Westmead.
Through their off-site outreach programs the DHC provides primary healthcare services, including HIV testing and counseling, to 500 people a month. This is over and above the 1500 people they reach monthly at their in-house clinic. The mobile clinic includes an examination room, a built-in awning, and ample storage for medication and supplies.
