Sophie the puppet, with her actor counter-part Belinda Henwood, met some little solar powered robots which had been made by learners and public over the past few days at the KZNSA gallery.
The robots were created by “Free Sunshine” – part of the Life Hacking gallery takeover at the KZNSA Gallery – one of the events at ISEA2018 which is taking place until 30 June creating a city-wide showcase of dozens of exhibitions, events, installations, walks, festivals and activities, and a major global conference on new media art.
Pop into the KZNSA gallery tomorrow (Tues) evening to find out more…. and pack warm gear and a picnic and stay for “Ozma and The Lost World” a fab French electronic jazz / rock fusion band who will be performing in Bulwer Park, being inspired by a grainy old 1920s black and white silent film about dinosaurs (“The Lost World”).
Sophie (and Belinda) are in KickstArt’s enchanting reimagining of Roald Dahl’s delightful children’s classic about the adventures of a Big, Friendly Giant (BFG) on at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre on UZKN campus until 8 July.
The photo is taken on the set of BFG at the Sneddon.
