UKZN Centre for Jazz and Popular Music: Fri 14 October
The 11th Annual African Cultural Calabash will be hosted by third year African Music Outreach: Community Development students under the theme Soul of Africa in One Voice.
The headliner is Maskandi Bahubhe from uMzinto Jolvet who is reputed to be one of the best dancers/singers/storytellers in the maskandi genre. Guest speaker for the evening will be Lungisani Mavundla from Ukhozi FM, a storyteller who has a platform for grooming and developing upcoming and young poets.
