Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights, symbolises the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance” and is celebrated this Thursday 31 October and Friday 1 November.
Photographed in the beautiful Durban Botanic Gardens are actor Rory Booth and Srishti Raghunath. Both are in rehearsal for their respective festive season productions: Rory in the title role of KickstArt’s annual panto: Steven Stead’s rollicking Puss in Boots which is set on an enchanted Caribbean island with sumptuous sets, colourful costumes, song, dance and jokes a-plenty.
